The electrical activities that KEM is experiencing in include the following:
1- Normal Power supply and distribution which include but not limited the following;
- Medium-tension power distribution (66kv, 22KV, 11 kv, and 6.6 kv)
- Switchgear design details
- Step-down transformers selection based on the estimated electrical load.
- Low-tension network and cable routing
- Lighting systems including indoor and outdoor lighting (street lighting, area lighting, landscape lighting and car parking lighting
- Small power, equipment and mechanical loads
- Main and sub distribution board details.
- Feeders type and cross sectional area.
- Distribution board details and riser diagrams.
2- Emergency generators and emergency distribution network which include but not limited the following;
- Stand-by generating sets (capacities depend on the estimated emergency loads)
- Emergency distribution network containing main panels, sub- panels and emergency feeders
3- Earthling and grounding systems which include but not limited the following;
- Medium-tension earthling system
- Low-tension earthling system
- Low current earthling system
4- Lighting protection system
5- Low current distribution network containing all underground work, man holes, trunks, cable trays, and trenches which include but not limited the following;
- Telephone distribution network
- Master antenna television distribution and video network
- Sound system and background music network
- Fire alarm distribution network
- Nurse call systems network
- IT information technology networking
- CCTV system network
- Intrusion system network
- Master clock system
- Conference and interpretation systems
